How Artificial Plants can be Displayed in Small Spaces

    EnglishBy EnglishNovember 15, 2023No Comments4 Mins Read

When it comes to smaller interiors, it can be easy to forget to make it your own and decorate it to your liking. Often, you’ll think first about the more practical, essential furniture and homewares that need to take up space and neglect to truly personalise it with decor.

The beauty of artificial plants isn’t only in their aesthetic value. They are compatible with a range of interior sizes and can be positioned to bring beauty into any pocket of your interior. They are an ever popular decorative piece that bring a touch of nature into indoor spaces, fuss-free. If you’re thinking about enhancing the aesthetic of your smaller space, then the artificial plant is a no-brainer addition!

    1. Interspersed in your Bookshelf

Whether it’s a large bookshelf or a floating shelf, it’s likely that your space has a form of book shelf or even a display cabinet. Add small or medium potted artificial plants between your book section dividers. They will bring a pop of green and instantly bring a more calming focal element to your display storage.

    2. Cluster your Plants Together

There may be a surface that is relatively empty in your space, whether it be a tabletop or shelf cubicle. Make the most of this! Group a cluster of appropriately sized potted plants together. This also makes more of an aesthetic impact wherein your eyes are more drawn to the cluster, rather than a singular plant.

    3. Corner Placement

Even in the smallest spaces, the corner of the room is often left empty. If you want to experiment with a larger artificial plant within your space, then place a fake tree in this corner! Taller and slim in its form, it won’t take up an excess amount of space in the corner plus stand out seamlessly in your interior.

    4. Window Sills

A bare window sill is absolutely a fitting place for your artificial plants to reside in small spaces. The natural in-built ledge is unintrusive whilst still retaining visibility for your decor to be noticed within your space. The window sill placement also allows you artificial plant to catch on and reflect the natural light pouring in on the windows, for an arrangement that emphasises outdoor beauty.

    5. Hanging Plants

Artificial plants don’t just have to reside on a tabletop or surface. Hanging plants are a type of artificial plant that do as the name says- they can hang on your walls! This allows you to add artificial plants to your interior without taking up space on your floor surface or tabletops at all.

They also vary in appearance to the traditional potted artificial plant. While some may come in smaller pots, many simply cascade freely downwards from their attached string or stem. This provides a more luscious, free flowing appearance wherein the leaves create more rich foliage.

    6. Table Centrepiece

Regardless of whether you already have a centrepiece arrangement or not, your artificial plant will fit seamlessly into the centre of your table. Having a table centrepiece establishes a visually pleasing focal point within your dining area and can be elaborate or simple depending on your preference. Whether your centrepiece comprises decorative sculptures, or just a fruit bowl, a cluster of artificial plants will add a botanical flair.

    7. Balcony or Patio

You may have absolutely no space for decor in your home- or maybe the space you do have isn’t the most optimal spot for decoration. That is not a problem! The artificial plant is known for being an indoor plant due to it not needing the sunlight and other outdoor conditions to survive. However, this doesn’t mean it can’t be included in your outdoor space! They will look stunning combined with the real plants you already have, creating a botanical haven in your balcony space.

Artificial Plants to Enhance Small Interiors

The trendy artificial plant doesn’t just to adorn larger spaces- it can become a beloved decor piece in smaller interiors too. They come in a variety of styles and sizes that enables them to have compatibility with plenty of homes or commercial spaces. From hanging plants, to clustering plants together in a beautiful vignette, there are many ways to style your artificial plants in smaller spaces.
